During the 2008 Major League Baseball season, many people will be watching the games using their television entertainment sets. However, I’ll be using something completely different… my computer. I am a die hard Red Sox fan and follow the team’s games dutifully but rising monthly cable and satellite costs caused me to look to the Internet for my hard hitting action. My first choice in websites was mlb tv. Site providers allowed users to watch each 2008 regular season games live for a choice of a monthly or annual payment. The monthly fee is $14.95, the annual fee is $85.95. Although less expensive than the satellite cable provider I was with, there were restrictions I could not agree with and choose not to sign up with them. This meant I had to continue my search for the perfect website for my MLB action.
After some time passed, I came across a piece of software, perfect for my needs in every way. Unlike the first site I came across that blacked out certain, rather important, games, this site did not have this restriction. Not only that but I didn’t have to stay in one spot to watch all the games. If I had to travel, I could watch it anywhere I wanted to. All I needed to do was download the software onto my computer. Once this was done and installed, I could watch all the Major League Baseball I could handle.
The other agreeable part about this software was there is no need to upgrade your system. All it needs is Internet access of some kind whether it is dial-up or broadband. I also found there was no monthly or yearly payments that had to be made to enjoy all my games. No doubt, I was in heaven knowing I could enjoy every bit of my games and still keep my money.
Not only is this software installed on my home computer, it is also on my work computer and laptop. This way I can watch the games live anytime I want including at work when I am craving “a fix”. My laptop comes in handy to watch the games should I be traveling. It no longer bothers me that I may have to travel because I will never miss a game using this software. I can watch the MLB games live and it still airs with great video and sound reception. In fact, I am watching the spring training games using my computer instead of my home television set and I am loving every minute for this new technology.
